Please check out the new logo, I am far from an artist, but I think it looks good and clean, something that would look nice on a shirt and banner. I posted a poll in the forum. 9/7/07 8/12/07 8/11/07

With wit, charm, and charisma, Dave shines on The Tonight Show
Late-night TV met NHRA Drag Racing Monday when PACC member Dave made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and the rookie driver from Hatfield, PA shined brightly in front of the NBC television cameras. Dave, was somewhat confused why he was ask to come on the show, even though, was witty and charming while serving as a great ambassador for the sport. From his opening, "I'm Hooked," when Leno complimented him on his second place standing, you know these days the competition is tough, so second place isn't bad." Dave got his fair share of laughs and several hearty cheers from the crowd.
The whole experience was really great, said Dave, who was featured in a five-minute segment on the program following actor Brad Garrett and in advance of a performance by Cirque du Soleil. This is definitely one of the funnest interviews I have ever done.

Despite Trying To Lose, SpiderDan Still Wins
An excited SpiderDan said, "I even gave my good buddy a handicap by trying a couple of tricks, a reverse line lock burn out, and then launching at the gates in 3rd gear." Stated Dan, "These guys are serious, I may have did ok tonight, but when I meet the Green Monster" (Sean) in October, our team is hearing he will have an F16 Jet engine along with slicks, however, with the jet engine, I think the slicks might be a little over kill. Um... I don't even want to think what the other guys are bringing, especially Dave."

PA-CE Grudge Shoot Out Meeting Maple Grove Raceway - Friday September 7 was the place to be for Rob, the one with a car, was able to make it after a tough day at work, we were happy he was able to make the event. Kudos to Rob!
Dave is seriously thinking about changing careers and attending John Force's Top Fuel/funny Car Drag Racing School, lamented Dave, "I'm Hooked" - And Dave assured us he would be ordering his roll bar from Jegs first thing Monday morning. Sean said, "driving the green monster through the traps was like cruising down the turnpike, at 85 MPH I felt right at home" Apparently Joe was a little confused, he thought it was Camaro night, while in staging he kept insisting this was Camaro night,an insistent Joe, "You do know, technically speaking, PA-CE could stand for Pennsylvania Camaro Enthusiast" - we assured Joe it was ALL about Chevelles. Chad had his small block Chevelle running well and consistent all night. The staff here at PACE is still working on getting all the final numbers, so please post your results in the forum section guys. On a serious note, Rick had a good solid test run on the first go, however, on the second run had major transmission problems. True to form Rick took it all in stride and knowing Rick, he'll be back up and running as soon as possible. You have to Rick, a car event wouldn't be the same without you, and that is shared by all PACE members. Sam, we were not aware of your seat belt problem until later in the night, Dan has a new pair that has never been used (dated 2007), if interested, you can contact him at danf@dejazzd.com. The gang would like to give a big thanks to Dave and his wife (Maureen); she bought pizza and drinks for everyone during a holding pattern in staging after an oil spill. Also, Dave let everyone keep their belongings in his awesome enclosed trailer. Thanks Dave! A big thanks goes to Rob for the awesome photos and video, which can be seen here. We believe this was a very successfull and fun night for all, and plan on another Grudge Run in October.

Ludwigs Corner Car Show Chester Springs, PA - Ludwigs Corner - Today (9/3) the Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania (HCCP) held their annual Ludwig Corner Car Show. From very old Antiques to Muscle Cars too Pro Streets, there were cars for every enthusiast. As with most car events, lots of food, great friends and conversation. ![]()
Rick Helps Dan Install Line Lock Ephrata, PA - Dan's Place - Rick helped me install my line-lock and shift light Saturday, it turned out to be an all day job, as Rick was bending brake lines and wiring, I was installing my UMI Low Relocation Brackets. I wanted to once again thank Rick for all his hard work. Rick is VERY knowledgeable and has patients beyond belief..
On A Serious Note... Honey Brook, PA - PA Chevelle Club member Joe seriously hurt his hand on the way down to the meeting. He amazingly participated in the meeting when he had to be in major pain. He went to the hospital later in the day to find out he had an exposed fracture. He has to see an orthopedic surgeon next week to see if it needs further medical attention. We all hope for a speedy recovery, as he is schedules for a race in October. Keep us posted Joe.
PACC Member Secretly Changes Engine Somewhere - a PA-CC member was able to pull off a Houdini trick and replace an engine with out his other half knowing about the ordeal. Something ALL hot rodders just dream of, this member not only did it, he got a way with it. Eager members were anxious to hear his secret as many need and want upgrades but don't want the hassle of negotiating with the other half. Apparently the secret is keeping the change/part close in size, the proud Houdini stated, "it worked well replacing a small block with another small block, not so sure I would have pulled it off if I went with a big block though " - Pictures are being withheld to protect the guilty.
